​Our client is seeking a registered manager for their already established domiciliary care agency in Worthing.

Our client recently bought this branch, and the current manager is leaving with the owners and relocating to another service, so we need a replacement asap. It is a successful and busy branch for domiciliary care, you will be managing a team of consultants.

Your duties are to include;

  • To ensure the service being provided satisfies user needs as assessed and meets requirements of safe working practices

  • To undertake risk assessments of service user’s premises in accordance with the agreed procedure, advising the appropriate provider of potential health and safety issues

  • To respond to Care Workers enquiries concerning issues related to health and safety, providing appropriate advice to care workers

  • To advise Regional Manager of practice issues arising from the supervision of Care Workers that may require attention

  • To identify and bring to the attention of the training department specific training needs of Care Workers

  • To alert Social Services Care Manager to changes in services users and carer circumstances and potential needs to provide general support to service users and their carers as part of a caring team

  • To complete Supervisions and Appraisal of all staff and report any concerns to the Regional Manager

  • To be responsible for compliance with National Minimum Care Standards and Domiciliary Care Regulations and to highlight any issues or concerns to the Regional Manager where necessary

  • Hold staff meetings on a regular basis (attend managers meetings at head office)

  • Staff disciplinary meetings

  • To deal with complaints and compliments in a professional manner in line with Policies and Procedure

  • Network meetings

  • Meetings with social workers/family members if required

  • CQC contact

  • Daily contact with all co-ordinators

  • To keep records and operate such computer-based systems as may be required.

  • To undertake any other lesser or comparable duties, as required by the organisation or to maintain the service

  • Interview New Staff

  • Oversee the completion of new staff paperwork.

· Payroll and invoicing queries – liaising with Accounts/Payroll managers

  • Training of new Co-ordinators

  • Client reviews in the absence of a Co-ordinator

For this position, you must have;

  • Diploma 5 In Health and Social Care

  • Minimum 3 years working at supervisory level in relevant environment

They're looking to pay around £30k but this can be negotiable DOE.
